BUISC finals are a culmination of the best from each of the qualifying regional rounds, so to compete here you must have attended BUISC South. The top skiers and snowboarders get to compete head-to-head in a jam packed day full of music, entertainments, DJ’s, prizes, fancy dress and of course the very highest levels of competition!
At the Finals, the competitions consist of: • Individual Slalom • Team Dual Slalom • Slopestyle Incorporated in the Finals is Ski 2 Help. It is a charity ski/board event available to all UK snowsports clubs and runs on the same day at the same location as the British Unis Indoor Snowsports Championship Finals (BUISC Finals) at Castleford SNO!Zone on the 4th March. It consists of over 500 students taking part in a sponsored ski - you get to raise money for great causes and snowboard for free!! BUSC’s indoor series, BUISC is now into its third year, sticking with the 3 region format created last year. The series will consist of Southern, Northern and Scottish regional rounds throughout February; culminating in the finals held in March.
We attend BUISC South, with the competitions consist of: • Individual Slalom • Team Dual Slalom • Slopestyle The top competitors from each region will qualify for the finals at Castleford on 4th March 2009. This is just as much (if not more!) a social event as a racing and freestyle event. If you want to enter please contact either Rowan for racing, or Ferg for freestyle. |

We return for the 4th and final round of the Kings Western racing league. The racing is done in a team dual slalom format (teams of 3/4 race on a slalom course against another team in a relay).
Current Standings: Swansea - 20pts Bristol - 18pts Bath - 18pts UWE - 17pts Exeter - 13pts The top 2 teams after this round will go to Kings Finals in May, so it's all to play for! We will be leaving 4pm from the Union and returning around 11.30pm If you want to attend as a racer or supporter, please contact Rowan. |
